Sharing time
So, about a month ago, my wife moved out and served me divorce papers. I anticipated it, but it caught me off guard and put me in a financial bind. I am recovering from this blow. On top of this, I can no longer get my GLP-1 medication, as it is no longer covered by insurance for weight loss. It felt like everything was starting to unravel. As usual, when things start to crumble, God shows up. My roommate was allowed to work part-time as one of my caregivers, and my caseworker was able to get me a few more hours of in-home caregivers. This has eased the financial burden in the house. I found out that my insurance will cover bariatric surgery. I had an appointment with my doctor to get a referral to a surgeon, whom my sister used. I am taking steps to get things in order, to wit, I have a financial screening with the surgery center on Monday.
